Brad Sugars, Founder

ActionCOACH founder and CEO Brad Sugars leads the world’s number one business coaching firm, which is recognized as one of the fastest growing global franchises in any category – with more than 1,000 offices in 26 countries.

Sugars’ business career began in Australia at age seven when he leased his Christmas presents to his brothers, insuring he could generate extra income and still get his toys back. Later, at age 15, he hired out his friends as sub-contractors on his paper route, a venture he describes as his first “real” business.

After graduating from Brisbane’s Queensland University with a degree in accounting, he became known as a “serial” entrepreneur, buying into, investing in or running more than 30 different types of businesses in retail, wholesale, professional services, publishing and insurance.

His work in business coaching began when he owned a copy and print shop and decided to start faxing out sales and business development strategies to his data base of more than 4,000 customers. This lead to several one-on-one coaching sessions (the first of more than 14,000 one-on-one coaching sessions he has conducted to date) and the 1993 start-up of Action International.

After deciding the franchise model was the best way to leverage his knowledge and systems base, Sugars expanded Action worldwide, and in 2006 rebranded the company to ActionCOACH.

A regular contributor to Entrepreneur.com, Sugars’ articles and quotes about business have appeared in publications and outlets that include Entrepreneur Magazine, Selling Power, Investor’s Business Daily, MSBNC.com, Leadership Excellence, My Business (Australia), Business Week and The Wall Street Journal.

A best-selling author of 14 highly acclaimed business books, Sugars has taught nearly a half-million people worldwide how to create business, real estate and financial success.

He currently resides in Las Vegas, which is also home to the ActionCOACH global headquarters.
